Emirates do have a LOT of reading material in their seat pockets - so much that we often clear out the pockets of all the reading paraphernalia to give us more space for our knees.
The Inflight magazine is about the thickness of a bridal magazine. Add the extensive almost-as-thick Duty Free Magazine and the inflight entertainment menu for the 600 channel ICE entertainment system, and there is a hefty amount of paper in that pocket.
