Nairobi is a wonderful city. I have been there several times and have never felt in danger. Yes, you need to be careful, but I'm careful in Memphis too. Most people there are very friendly and eager to help you, they're even honest. The last time I was there our cab driver tracked me down to return my lipgloss that had fallen out of my pocket.
