Passenger strips nude, tries to open an emergency exit door mid-flight
It seems that we have been averaging about one crazy passenger a week lately. And those are just the ones who make it into the press! You typically read about the in-flight drunkards, angry folks, and people with out-of-control children. But I can't remember the last time we had a 'misbehaving nudist' story.
The AP reports that an American Airlines flight from Boston to Los Angeles was diverted to Oklahoma City yesterday after a passenger emerged from the bathroom naked. He then tried to open an emergency exit door before being subdued by other passengers, specifically the members (no pun intended) of a professional soccer team.
Members of the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer (and others on the plane) saw the erratic passenger near an exit door, grabbed him, and placed tie wraps on the man.
Makes you wonder what he was doing in the bathroom naked. Some sort of mile-high club self-initiation?

LOL...where are the photos? Now I know that someone on that plane had a camera! Let's check out the photographic evidence before we condemn him! :))

Liar I think you just want to see him naked.

Why yes, his nudity would only make me smile and make me feel less threatened. I could see that he was not packing any "heat" and I might see some other things as well!
But of course, I understand the reason for the flight diversion and his arrest. He would of course, alarm the general American population (if they weren't from Berkeley, home of the Naked Man)...LOL

Well, He is no more crazy than anyone ele that would get on a plane right now.

Why are people with bullet proof vest and guns threatend by a naked guy, where is the gun or bomb? Maybe all flights should be nude only, I would feel safer.

it's sure ... but it's dangerous to open the doors when you're in flight :-))

This all sounds very dramatic. Reality is that the emergency exit door cannot physicaly be opened by anyone during any phase of flight. Of course folks don't know that and get scared whenever they see anyone close to a door.

GET A GRIP! If you want to be naked; go to a NUDIST colony or some other country!
We are not interested in seeing your ugly body!
As far as families sitting together; Oh well, they try to bring the Whole family on as EARLY BOARDERS!
That is what is wrong with this world! We do have some sense of decency in this country; and if you do not like it! GO BACK TO ANOTHER PART OF THE WORLD & STAY THERE! THIS IS OUR COUNTRY; AND IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT! GET THE H-LL OUT!
Phill Gramm did not have it all wrong! If they would spend as much time helping one another like we do in America; they wouldn't be whining and complaining and threatening LAWSUITS! When you get on an
airplane; you lives are in the hands of the pilot and the flight attendants! I think people need to sign a WAVER stating except for a case of death; NO LAWSUITS PERIOD! It is pretty pathetic when the rude passengers demand to get off the plane before the disabled Veterans & elder people! Sometimes the Pilots will come out and push them up the ramp to the airports because of this! This is also due to rudeness and the lazy people who work for the
people who are supposed to be there when the airplane lands. I think the airlines should hire their own people to do this job; and cut down on these immigrants who hold these jobs and do not do it!!
As far as the wheelies go; Band them too! If they cannot carry on a bag & meet the restrictions; which is supposed to fit in the container at the entrance of the GATES; then they need to check them. WE DO!

@kay
it scares me to think someone likes phil gramm. It would scare you to know that everything you're griping about is in some way "working as intended" per the US gov't. nothing happens differently than it's supposed to...especially in a government funded business like the airlines.
