You can visit the prison where Shawshank was filmed in Mansfield, OH, along with lots of other locations from the movie. In fact, you can spend the night in the prison! They have tours, which are fantastic, as well as Ghost Hunts (the prison is reportedly haunted). During Ghost Hunts, you spend the night and have pizza in the warden's office for $50. The Ghost Hunts typically sell out well in advance, though. There are many other sites in Mansfield on the Shawshank Redemption Tour. Check out mansfieldtourism.com for the trail details. Also, there is an awesome haunted house there every October.
