The Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation is a non-profit organization which conducts the tours of the site. That's the reason for the two-tiered system of prices. The state parks department imposes a $5 vehicle fee, and the Foundation helps pay for its tour guides with the interpretive fees.
Most visitors spend about 3 hours going through the historical attractions of Fort Lincoln and the On-a-Slant Village.
