Fed up flyer said...
I fly from the east coast to Europe a few times a year and the jetlag gets worse each time, no matter what I do. It takes me hours just to fall asleep and I'm jolted back awake within 20 minutes.
Rather than suffer the indignities of trying to sleep upright in cattle class, I make the most of the bar service, bring on a gourmet sandwich from my local market, and listen to some good music - or a few movies on my ipod. You can't ever count on the airline keeping you entertained.
