While free internet is important to be, but sometimes I'd prefer to pay for a quality connection not some shared DSL or cable connection for the entire hotel. In those cases the connections can be almost unusable in the evening.

Paul, I agree. Free internet is worthless if it I am unable to get a connection that is fast and keeps me connected. I would much rather pay for reliable service.
