Report of Mr. White is realistic within the context of environment problems related to a small and poor country like Albania. It is the same as Montenegro and all other countries under development.
On my part I would like to see the environment problem of Albania from another view :
Recently the EC is adapting and imposing new legal measures and criteria for its member countries aiming at global warming improvement.
Within this context the Italy adjacent to Albania is planning to face up its obligations by exporting them to Albania. This is the very case of huge petrol storages under construction in the Bay of Vlore. These are the very cases of ten giaNt cement factories to be constructed in the internal part of Albania, several just 3o km distant of the capital Tirana. And all of them "offered " to the Italian investors ALL THE GROUND FOR ONE EURO.
Finaly I would suggest Mr. White to investigate and ask question to the official of the Ministry of Environment within this context, further to visit the Bay of Vlore and meet the activists of the Civic Alliance for Protection of the Vlore Bay, who from four years now have been waging a civic protest to protect the Bay of Vlore.
