wanna play one-up-manship? i live in hawaii, need to fly to the nyc base, then fly anywhere from 10 to 18 hours.....so we're looking at almost 40 hours before my head hits a pillow...... not any more though.... when the pensions went bye-bye....so did i... but under the old rules (grandfathered in) now i make more than a working pilot at my seniority. airlines don't alwats get away with their mis deeds.
Hi Bruce,
I can't top that one - too many time zones for me. Staying up 40 hours went out the door when I got into my 50's. Here is one up - maybe - I was/am a tea tottaler (sp?) all my life. But I hit the bars with all the crews for the socialability. 5 new stews in the bar, and I always bought the 1st round. They order hard drinks, and when it came to me - I wanted to go right to bed after the bar. So I ordered MILK. The copilot the next day told me they almost pooped in unison thinking I had just set them up for a see "the Chief Stew note". Glad to hear you are able to work te system because the system sure has "worked" all the employees. I am lucky and got lump sum and am very happy.
