Frontier filed BR to get out of their contract with Republic, in my opinion. They started Lynx and figured they could fly the routes themselves for less than they were contracted to pay Republic. This was awful for the Republic Pilots and FAs who relocated to Denver for a long and wonderful relationship with Frontier, not to mention the headache for Republic to bring all these employees back into the company on the East Coast. Frontier is rude, this was not very nice.
So, I don't think Frontier is in any real trouble.
As for the Business Service Airlines, funny how people with the money won't spend it, isn't it? Now look at the leisure Airline called Allegiant. They are making money connecting small towns to the "hot spots" like Vegas, Orlando, St. Pete, Ft. Lauderdale, and Phoenix. Small towns connected with non-stop flights to where they want to go ... what a concept! LOL
