When Megabus canceled their route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, I checked Greyhound for fares. It was about $35 each way, which was good, but the estimated times were ridiculous. In my car, I can make the trip in four and a half hours. Megabus takes about five, or a little over that. Most Greyhound buses estimated from 7-8 hours, which I refuse to do.
