Another tiny MP3 player to consider is the Cowon D2. Also a Flash based player with SDHC support to 16gb, though at this time the base player is only available in 2/4/8gb models. A 16gb version is rumored. But what it loses in storage (carry another SD card or two?), it makes up for in sound quality, massive playback support (oog, flac, mp3, wma, whatever.... I haven't found a format it Doesn't support). The real kicker is a 50 hour!! audio playback time, or 10 hour video.
When it came down to doling out the cash, Cowon was the winner in my book. It's not a big brand name, but it is Very well known among those who demand high quality audio playback. All sort of fun hacks for it too... mine has controls that look like the iPhone currently.
