Loved the video of you trying to catch your water bottle from the cockpit window! Almost-Captain Mike tells a related story, something about not getting the load sheet to the right people prior to departure out of Dulles. One of the two pilots had the brilliant idea to stuff it into a crew-meal sandwich ( which sounds like it wasn't good for much else) to weigh it down and tossing it out the cockpit window.
And thanks for your interest in Mike's progress with his Airbus conversion and upgrade to the left-hand seat. This has to be especially tricky for British pilots! He won't even drive my car when he's here in Philadelphia! We had a nice weekend in London two weeks ago during a pause between simulator training and scheduled flights with the check captain. We had to drive down to Gatwick to get his new ratings attatched to his license. Between dropping the paperwork off and returning to pick it up, we visited Jane Austens' house which is in a small town about an hours' drive away. A very nice museum and terrific pilgrimage for Jane Austen fans
And the Apple store is one of Mike's favorite New York haunts, too. Other BA pilots who visit the US like to shop at Lowes and Home Depot.I heard the airline had to make new rules about not trying to ship riding lawnmowers on 777s....
