I know there are some positive aspects. However, such a merge at this size needs to be examine thoroughly. I work for a company that manages and tracks frequent flier programs and we blogged about this on savvywallet.com a few days ago. One thing I'm concerned about is the quality of the miles. I predict they might depreciate in value. Even though Delta says the program won't change, I don't want to be stuck with subscriptions of Travel and Leisure. I want to a flight to Tahiti.
