Naked Nomad presumed dead; left multi-million dollar estate
Let's set this straight. According to hard evidence I have gathered, Victor Flanagan, an Australian also known as "Naked Nomad," didn't walk around naked all the time. He wore a sarong when walking through towns and a pair of thongs for when there were too many prickles on the road. He spent at least the last decade living in Papua New Guinea, where he walked from Australia sometime in the 1990s. And, he was found dead lying in a canoe – without any clothing -- in a PNG jungle, news.com.au reports.
Last week, more than a decade after he last spoke to his sister, the Supreme Court in Perth declared Naked Nomad "presumed dead". This is a relevant piece of information because he left all his property--primarily the multi-million dollar beachfront property near Busselton--to his sister. Flanagan had inherited the property after their father's death but didn't have much use for it since he primarily just wanted to be in touch with nature and spend his life walking around naked.
Naked Nomad really isn't that different from multimillionaires, after all. Multi-million beach front property is only fun if you can do nothing all day, but walk around naked.

Hey, it's nice to know he left his estate to his sister and not his dog (or in his case..roadkill?)

If I read this correctly, he was ruled 'presumed dead' last week. He must have been found in the days since then. Besides, that's the only way the story would make any sense.

"When I get hungry I hold out my plate and when I get thirsty I hold out my bottle for water for me and my dog,” Flanagan said.
nice...he's got all this money but he's asking for handouts? Too bad he didnt leave it to those who helped feed him along the way. And how did he go from a "dying man" in a canoe (suspected of being his sisters brother) to "buried in a mass grave"? If his sister suspected a dying man (read- 'still alive') was her brother, why did she wait till he was dead and buried to take action? Why not find out his identity BEFORE burying him?
One of the most poorly written articles Ive ever read! Love that he could walk on water though....hehe.

"Its his money". If it were that simple then that statement would be true. However, to whom much is given, much is required. He didn't get his wealth from a black whole. A community somewhere in the world facilitated the accumulation of that wealth. The failure of him and others like him usually find no rainbow at the end of their journey because the failure of not taking the responsibility of wealth serious.

WHY? if you are poor work two jobs go to school at night and get an education, then take that education and get a good paying job, then take the years of experience of that good job and get promoted to a great job... it is your ODACITY to reach your hand out to another person begging for thier money instead of doing the respectable thing and working hard for it yourself.. so that when a person who is lazy or makes bad life decisions says to you, I wish you gave me 1% of your money so that I can live easier.. you can flip them off like the rest of us who worked hard to attain the things if you want things or the freedom to travel if you want to travel...

Let's see, we go to school for countless years so we can land a great job. Then we spend all our money on houses, kids, cars, maybe a little bling, a really cool "vacation of a lifetime" or two, get our kids through school save enough to retire happy, healthy and hopefully worry free. Seems like this guy was smart enought to miss all the hard parts and go straight to retirement. Plus he left a little something to his sister. I see no problem. If we all wanted the same thing all the time that would be SO BORING!!!
