Not quite sure this is a good substitute for the real thing? I'd have to say that though as my UK based travel business, Europe a la Carte promotes "authentic travel in Europe".
On a serious note, the pound sterling has dropped in value recently against the euro so it's getting more expensive for we Brits to travel to Western Europe. There's also the issue of some people reducing the number of flights they take a year for environmental reasons. The credit crunch coupled with large increases in fuel and food prices means there's less disposable household income to spend on travel.
