Yuck. Fetus found in Continental airplane bathroom
I'm still kind of grossed out as I write this. Yesterday, Continental Airlines janitorial employees found a human fetus in a lavatory bathroom after a flight between New York City and Houston had deplaned. It was almost an hour after the passengers had left the aircraft and cleaning had commenced before the workers found the fetus in the lav trash. At that point authorities couldn't track down the woman for questioning as she may have already connected through another flight, so the FBI is now involved and digging through the passenger manifest, trying to locate the mother.
Still, not the sort of thing that you want happening on your aircraft or in your lavatory, much less something you want to hide from the authorities. Hopefully the mother is ok.

Yuck? It's not feces, it's a human being!! Unfortunately this is the kind of respect a lot of people give to an unborn child. And the writter hopes the mother is OK? Well so do I but I can't help but wonder if she thinks about how "OK" her baby is. Yuck? Writter get a grip!

Hope the mother is ok? Most likely shes a murderer and your concerned about HER wellbeing? When someone gives birth and then literally throws the newborn away, leading to its death, thats called murder. And, it's not a fetus, Grant, its a baby. It was outside the mother's womb. It had been born. Apparently inside the womb one can get away with murder by calling it an "abortion." Regardless of one's views on abortion though, once it's born, it becomes a baby. No one can argue that. Look up "fetus" in the dictionary, it only applies to the "unborn." if someone intentionally does something to cause that baby's death, then it becomes murder.

I agree... "Yuck!" for the title? When You can use the word "Yuck" to describe a dead baby found in a bathroom, You got some serious issue man!
Is that what we call gross these days? Is that how relaxed We (well You) can be by using that word to describe this?
I hope they find the "mother" and give Her a taste of justice... unlike what She gave Her child!

Oh Good god!! It was a fetus!! And yes, it was wrong of the mother to desecrate it like that. But don't jump all over Grant just because your opinions on fetal welfare might differ from others. It is ok to wonder if the mother is ok, she can be at serious risk of infection. It's unfortunate that the fetus had to be treated as such though.

I cannot believe that you said, "yuck." Do you have any respect for human life? It could've been a miscarriage. You need to think before you write.

Hey Teenager, look up the defniition of "fetus" before you spout off ok?? according to dictionary.com its the following...
"In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo."
Did you see the word UNBORN?? Now unless you consider the airplane trashcan a womb, it's NOT a fetus. Perhaps when you hit your 20's you'll think about your comments before posting, hmm? Oh those impetuous teeny-boppers!
Dizzy Mar 31st 2008 8:12PM
Haha, "Impetuous"? Put the book down Dr. Dictionary
actually before you do, look up "miscarriage". that would be when a baby dies before it's born. crazy concept huh? soo when this happens, do you think the dead fetus stays in the mother until 9 months are up and a timer goes ding, or maybe possibly the body disposes of the unborn child?
also, according to your definition, anything from 8 weeks on is considered a fetus, until it is born. sooo, is somthing the size of a water bottle, that was dead before it ever hit air, and was NEVER BORN, a baby? ...or a fetus?
And are you sure about locking her up for murder on this one captain gavel?
Now place the dictionary on the nearest table, and slowly, back away....
