Happy opening day, baseball country!
In honor of Major League Baseball's opening day, here's a map (click to enlarge) that shows where each team's allegiances lie in the US. Just eyeballing the map, which was made by Nike using fan input, it actually looks quite accurate, though judging by the attendance at most Florida Marlins games, I'd wager most of Florida should be labelled "Unincorporated Territory."

Cool map, Aaron. I guess there's no way they could, but it would have been sweet if they could represent some of those more epic famous teams that have pockets of support all across the continent/world. Red Sox/Yankees come to mind. I've always seen a freakish number of "A's" hats up here as well.
Also, the Jays admin would probably try to claim all of Canada as their fan base. Untrue, unless you count about thirty seconds of excitement about Joe Carter's big home run.
