Spain to "dance the chiki chiki" at Eurovision 2008
What's a country to do when two million residents vote for a man who calls himself Rodolfo Chikilicuatre and looks like an exaggerated (not to mention distorted) version of Elvis, to represent their country in this year's Eurovision?Although condemned by the press, there is nothing that can be done but laugh and join in the "chiki chiki"!
Eurovision is one of the longest running television programs in the world. It's a singing competition where each country sends a representative; the day of the contest, all participants must sing their respective songs live as the European audience votes for the best song.
Being a continent-wide singing competition, the contest is generally taken seriously, but the Spanish people seem to have a different definition of that as they chose to send the contestant they found most absurd and hilarious. The representing song "Baila Chiki Chiki" is a rap reggaton that includes reference to politicians and to grandmothers waving knickers in the air as they dance the "chiki chiki". Go Spain!
The word is that our Spanish chiki chiki will only face competition from Ireland's rubber turkey puppet Dustin. The contest this year in on May 24 in Belgrade.

This song is a parody made for a Private channel of Spain (Lasexta TV). Rodolfo Chikilicuatre is an actor called David Fernández.
Spanish people vote him cause they want to demostrate that eurovision song contest is really bad. Its a contest for freak people. And thet send a freak song and a freak character. Enjoy it Europe. Neighbouring countries can vote yourselves one more time. (As always you did)

Hello Europe!!!!!!!!!
I´m spanish but the "chili-chiki" I don´t like. But I belive that the spanish have chosen a formula to give a warning to the rest of europeans. The news countries have turned eurovision into a game for some few ones, despising to cuntries as Germany, France,United Kindown and, as not,to Spain.
Countries as Italy, they left the contest for injustices.
Soon us ...
Eurovision has died,alive Eurovision!!!!!!!!
!!!!HASTA SIEMPRE EUROPAAAAAAA!!!!

the lyric of the song has been changed to avoid the mention about "political issues" and also has been extended due to eurovision contest rules.
chikilicuatre won the spanish contest because mostly all the internet freaks vote for him. Old people (including my grandmother) were not organized (LOL) so they couldnt do a shit to avoid what finally happened.
long live freakvision!

Hi dear Europe:
Here in Spain, we had two options to face one more year the parody of Eurovision.
a) to take notice of what lots of excellent artists have been saying for a lot of years, it is, never more participate in that set-up that Eurovision is and avoid that you are not to laugh at us anymore.
b) Create something grotesque specially made for you, yes, it is our turn to laugh at you and your corrupted, dishonest and manipulated show.
Our mission, downgrade and discredit Eurovision to its real level. Sorry but you get what you give.
I can´t imagine the roar of laughter if "chiki chiki" wins
Bye bye

Hello Eurofans!
I´m a spanish guy and I think that the song "Baila el Chiki Chiki" will be a sucess in all contries of Europe after the Eurovision contest. It could be the winner of this year or if that won't happen, I´m sure that will take the attention of all Europe. It could happen that the song can be a hit as it was the song of Maria Isabel "Antes muerta que sencilla". Here in Spain the Ckiki Chiki song is a revolution. I think that this year Spain goes to make stand out, because allways the top of the ranking is for the east countries, and that is not justly. It's time for the rest of Europe are looking for countries like Spain, Andorra or Portugal. Viva España y Rodolfo Chikilicuatre!!!

Perrea, Perrea.... Buen Suerte Rodolfo... Win Eurovision or not... the song will catch on in Europe like it has already done in the whole of Spain, so the composers/ lyricist, and Rodolfo are already winners...
