The vast majority of Westerners don't celebrate Halloween or carve pumpkins. The vast majority of Westerners aren't American. Western is not a synonym for American. The West includes all of Europe and all English speaking countries, at the very least.

This is meant to be a travel blog, isn't it? About the world and such?
