Of course they get checkups. WHo the hell told you that? No one, I bet. An Airline Transport Pilot has to gets a medical evaluation every 6 months. Psychological testing is not normally involved unless it's as a follow-up to a previous incident reported on a previous medical visit.

Not that I am a Bible thumper but it is good that he wanted to talk to God and not the devil.
I am smart enough to know that there is a Co-pilot for a reason that is very capable of flying the Jet to a safe landing.
I will speak for most on this blog that we hope he does talk to God and his Doctor. Maybe he just had a tragedy in his life that he tried to handle and it over took him.
