California teen in custody after plane incident
The wire was buzzing this morning with the tale of a Los Angeles teenager who was arrested for plotting to hijack a flight and -- I'm not joking here -- crash it into a Hannah Montana concert in Lafayette, Louisiana. I swear I'm not making this up.See for yourself: LA teen in custody after plane incident
The teen was pulled off of Southwest Airlines flight 284 -- without incident -- on Tuesday night with a bag full of handcuffs, rope and duct tape. How does a kid get through security with a bag of handcuffs? A search of his home back in California revealed a mock cockpit, but authorities are confident "his plan had a low probability of success."
Update: The FBI is now dismissing reports that the teen planned to crash the plane into a Hannah Montana concert. (Thanks, Melinda!)

Security is a joke, all they are is a bunch of bullies that never got to be anything in life but now they can pick on older people and who ever they can to make themselves feel important. It's getting to the point where a lot of people have delt with some sort of foolishness from these jerks. To many working for security or the airlines themselves are taking the whole idea that they have some sort of rite to belittle or demean travlers because they have the "power".If any of this has happened to you then you know what I'm talking about. It's at a point like if a flight attendant aks you to do something(bring seats or trays uprite ect.) and you don't do it quick enough they start threatining to throw you off the plane.Quite a few have this feeling they are judge and executioner.

You go Bobby. Yours was the most sensible comment on here so far. As for the person who wondered how the parents could let this happen. Therein lies our answer. So many parents are giving their children absolutely no rearing.no parenting at all. They are leaving everything from, babysitting to education to others, but watch reality shows like COPS or Americas Most Wanted and see who yells the loudest "MY chile did'nt do nuthin. He be a good boy. Him ain't never been in n o trouble" and I defy you to find one single person that ever admits his guilt. I firmly believe they are born knowing how to lie and steal.

HELLO.......handcuffs aren't prohibited. Why should they stop him??? Do you really think that a plane full of people are going to stop and let them handcuff everyone so he could hi-jack the plane? Come on, please. Some of the people who comment on TSA business should stop and think before you comment, you have no idea what your talking about. There is inside information that never gets released to the public. By the way everyone responds, I can see why. American's enjoy your freedom and quit being spoiled. Your could have it like Israel and be checked 5 times before you even get to check in for your flight.

So I don't get it. Is it illegal to carry rope on an airplane now? Is duct tape a dangerous weapon? How do you assault people with handcuffs? And he really wasn't intending to crash a Hannah Montana concert after all? What's the story here? Or is this much ado about nothing?

Why do you think in war they will use young kids to do their dirty work?, because they are the least likely suspects.
