American Airlines announces in-flight wi-fi costs

Lufthansa explained at the time that it was Boeing who was dropping the service. The airline apologized and said that they pleaded with Boeing to keep it alive. In the end they offered the service for free to passengers for the last three months it was active.

I was lucky enough to try it out and I agree. It was really handy.
