I'm sorry, but Julia is incorrect. Prior to the 1940's (World War II) the human contribution to greenhouse gases was negligible, according to the *all* the IPCC reports.

Also, so far, the total amount of global temperature change (from all causes, human and natural) is LESS than 1 degree C. The change is too small to sense it from anecdotal data ("it feels warmer outside" or "gee, the weather is odd"), you can only measure it statistically.

All of the above is the mainstream scientific consensus, although the newspapers won't report it.

My opinion is similar to the other poster named John, which is that current warming (which stopped in 1998!) is not too different from previous, historical warming periods during which the human influence was undetectable.

If Global Warming is such a farce, how do you explain the melting glaciers? How do you explain evidence from ice cores and tree rings that show the last decade of the 20th century to be the hottest in a thousand years? I stopped questioning a global warm up after I learned about glaciers that are thousands of years old that are melting off at alarming rates. If this type of warm up was business as usual, those glaciers would have melted off long ago. Also, there's been evidence that shows a Universal Warming not just Global.

No one said Global Warming isnt happening. Most of the planets in our Solar system are warming up. I mean even mars has melting Icecaps (Look for yourslef, research) so do you think we're responsible for Carbon in space?

Global warming is a NATURAL accurance, Blaming it on us means they get to tax the crap out of us. And really think about this, they moan moan moan, blame us, fine us, tax us. But has it solved anything? Or just made a small group of people very rich...

We're forced to recycle, Guilted into turning our appliances off, and riding bikes instead of using the Cars that THEY sell to us, ive even heard some places are blaming CHILDREN for Co2. And Cows, because of Methane.... All of these applications assure one thing, PROFIT. Blame us, Scare us, Tax us.
You can't throw money into the Atmosphere to scare away the heat. If we instead sent the money into means of Dealing with the change in weather rather then trying to point the finger. Im sure many lives could be saved...

Its time we started to questioning what we're told. If we did everything the covernment said they would have us working 24/7 paying untold taxes and never asking "Why?" (A close friend of mine pays 40% Income tax already!!!! he loses WAY over a grand every month!! and he works in a factory risking his life to earn it every day!) When comman sence says "Hmm that doesnt sound right" its usually not..
