I admire your sensitivity to this situation. You say that no one would have been carted off to the gulag for accepting the chocolate, but that's not too far off base. Unfortunately, the human rights situation in North Korea is getting worse every day, especially as its sole ally (China) prepares for the world's scrutiny.
