I really want to travel to Antartica...To see the natural shelving of glaciers and the wildlife which thrives in such a tough environment would make a great journey...

We were in Greece in Sept., and I find it difficult to put into words how we felt upon seeing Santorini's caldera for the first time - breathtaking!! I would love to win this book...

It's gotta be Mongolia for me, I'm always such a ocean bird, it'll be interesting to see what happens to me when I'm landlocked.

Even today with global travel, I find wonder and mystery in Paris, Venice, Rome, but also and perhaps more so in the small villages of Provence, of Italy. One of my unforgettable stays was in Bora Bora after New Zealand where I would happily live.

The big dream trip for me right now is the Southern Cone of South America. I have spent so much time studying the literature, culture, geography, language, and history of that region that I can't imagine not going there.

Oh, so many places...I think Australia and New Zealand are high on my list, but of course, I'd take a detour to Thailand and Vietnam on my way there.

My last amazing trip was to Tanzania back in April. Climbing on Kili and going on Safari were amazing adventures.
I'd love to go to Nepal or Tibet next. I think I hear the Himalaya calling.

Best trip I ever did was by car and boat around the Baltic. We started from our home in Warsaw and then headed up through North East Poland and through to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. Then over by ferry to Helsinki and up Finland to the Artic Circle and Northern Norway. Then by Hurtigruten ferry and car back through the Norwegian Fjords to Bergen. From there cross country again to Oslo and down to Southern Sweden. Finally back by Ferry to North West Poland, driving along the Polish coast to Gdansk and then the worst part...the 350km from Gdansk to Warsaw! Four weeks in total and another tick on the list of things to do in life... :-)

I would like to travel six months of the year and live in several places for varying lengths of time, instead of just passing thru on short visits. Some of the dream destinations are: Bali, Brazil, France, Italy, Argentina, India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Fiji, New Zeland (the last three yet to be visited). This book will give me and my wife a good start on planning for that.

Loved exploring Peru, but still haven't made it to Europe.

My wife and I have been looking forward to a trip to Asia. We would like to fit in China, Sumatra, Malaysia, Cambodia, and finally THAILAND! There is so much to see and do that we are going to go for over a month. Bukit Lawang in northern Sumatra to see the orangutan's we hope will be a once in a lifetime stop.

Despite a crazy schedule (or perhaps because of it since many of my trips have been for my work in pediatrics), I have traveled to 37 countries by 30. Favorite destinations include Australia and Brazil. I'm aiming for at least 50 countries by age 40, hoping to hit Africa and Antarctica (the two continents I haven't visited yet) as well as the Galapagos Islands. I'd love to get more inspiration from "Journeys of a Lifetime"!

My favorite past journey was spending a summer travelling around Spain - including Barcelona, San Sebastian, Madrid, and of course the most magical city of all, Seville.
My next journey? Hopefully Buenos Aires - I've wanted to travel to Argentina for years.
Lynne Dec 19th 2007 2:40PM
I would love to go to Australia!
David Dec 19th 2007 3:14PM
I've so far restricted my travels to Europe; I'd love to start branching out to other places on this earth, and this book would be a great way to research.

My dream trip would be to take my grandchildren and children to DisneyWorld, then board Disney's cruiseship to "anywhere they go" for a week. Africa camera safari would be another "dream" vacation for my husband and myself. Anywhere warm right now...it is 22 below zero outside where I live at 11:30 a.m.brrrr!
