No, they were probably pretty surprised. There's an extremely strict no-leave, no-enter policy in North Korea, so they're probably the hundred people in Pyongyang who've seen a foreigner in real life. I remember when I was in China, kids from the more rural parts of the country would ask to take a picture with me because they hadn't ever really seen a caucasian person in person.
