Couldn't agree with you more. I'm, quite frankly, tired of airlines sexing up their images while still falling short on the actual customer experience. I'd even be willing to pay a little more if I felt attended to instead of herded.
SmarterTravel.com [http://www.smartertravel.com/special-reports/Air-Travel-Special-Report-2007/ ] posted a great story on the public image of airlines in 2007 - no surprise that they fell considerably short on the customer service end of the scale.
