Am I the only person who remembers that in NY during 9/11 AND the blackout of 2003, not only where the cell phones not working, but even my cordless phone wasn't. Had it not been for a pay phone, I would not have been able to contact my family members to let them know that I was alright. Another reason not to banish the pay phone just yet.
