Betti,
You're an idiot. All the cities you mentioned were built long before communism was on the scene. And when the communists did occupy those cities, they managed to nearly destroy them by never refurbishing historic buildings while also staining them black with lignite coal smoke and acidic pollution from two-stroke Trabant engines. I guess you never visited pre-1989, jerk. Try checking out the suburbs of Prague where the communists built thousands of gray, souless panalaks that all look exactly the same. And you'll get a feeling of what a communist city is truly like.
