Places like this still exist today, because people excuse the actions or inactions of others with vapid comments such, "He's just doing his job." or "He was just following orders." We all have choices to make, some of us just make lousy ones. The demise of responsibility, as in taking responsibility for one's actions, in this nation is the result of such comments. If we want things to change we must stop making excuses for complacency. We always have a choice, we may not like the alternative, but there is always a choice. Do not continue to cheapen the sacrifices others have made by standing against tyranny, in all its faces, by making excuses for cowards.
