The World's Top Ten Views
Yep, that's a pretty bold headline, but that's what a recent list published by www.askmen.com is promising. Here's the top five from the list and I've added a few more I reckon are pretty special.
Askmen's Top Five
- The Acropolis, Athens
- Lipu and Yaoshan Mountains, Guilin
- Lanikai Beach, Hawaii
- Eiffel Tower, Paris
- Grand Canyon, Arizona
Here's AskBrett's Alternative Top Five (OK, it's a few of my favourite spots)
- Sunset on the Bosphurus, Istanbul
- The Remarkables, Queenstown
- Charles Bridge at dawn, Prague (right)
- Wadi Ghul Canyon, Oman
- Sydney Harbour. Sydney
Let us know what, where and when I've overlooked...

When did Africa and South America go off the map? Try Macchu Pichu, Foz do Iguacu, Easter Island, or Angel Falls in S.A. In Africa, Ngorongoro Crater, Cape Town or the massive sand dunes in the Sahara

Sorry in advance.
One of the best was the view from the top of the World Trade Center. Or Windows on the World, after the deck was closed.
It's been a while.
I have not forgotten......

What about the view from Machu Picchu in Peru? And another spectacular view in Brazil is from Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro. Among other places forgotten are
the sea approach to Capetown, So. Africa and wonderful views of the Amalfi Coast from the San Pietro terrace in Positano, Italy. Many others too including any view of Venice. A list of 10 is too short!

The most beautiful sight I have ever seen is icecles hanging off trees after an ice storm in New England. The first snow storm is second. Great to look at, horrible to live in.

Have you ever seen Niagara Falls? Spectacular in the summer. Indescribable in the winter. See it from the New York side up close and personal. Compare it to anywhere else you like.

try the view from the lake in the town of lake lure of the hickory nut gorge! the lake is known as one of the prettiest man made lakes, but the view of the gorge is truly the best view i have ever seen. the way the mountains sheer up 3000 feet and shape off the water at any point of the day. the sunsets fit right into the background. want a pic i will happily promote.

I've been fortunate to see many of those places, live in one of them. I agree with ones I've seen, also love the view of old city Jerusalem, Ephesus and Istanbul in Turkey, Ouray and Mesa Verde, CO, Asheville, N.C., and northern W. VA in the fall...aren't we blessed with a wonderful world!
