Wow, that seems like a lot of work. I got 3 bottles of wine I had (2 from France, and 1 from Salisbury, UK) back, and it was a little easier than this. I did pretty much the same thing, but didn't use a huge case that is nailed shut. I did however, have 3 less bottles. I walked right through customs and didn't declare anything. I made it back to the States without a problem.
