I'm one of the guys behind Photology, and I've got a point of clarification to how we find photos by date.
When you take a photo with a digital camera, it automatically appends the current date and time to the photo itself (in the EXIF data). We use that information to enable you to search by date (and time). Of course, for this to work properly requires you to have the date and time on your camera set correctly.
So the concern mentioned by Abha is not a problem at all!
