I flew JetBlue from Sarasota to New York, and Emirates from NYC to Dubai and onwards from Dubai to Johannesburg; I also flew Singapore from SFO to Hong Kong and onwards from Hong Kong to Singapore.
These were all incredibly long flights, yet the backseat entertainment made the flights tolerable and, in fact, turned me on to some great movies that I later referred to family and friends.
In addition, food and service on Emirates (and Singapore) were absolutely top notch and there was no way I was going to take a nap and miss a meal!
Kudos to those airlines for making an attempt to please the passenger.
