Thanks Aalok - I really appreciate the feedback. As someone who also writes guidebooks (Lonely Planet), I'll be the first to agree with you that they go out of date before they're even published, and it's hard for something to be both edgy and practical.
For backpackers, they are what they are, but in the future I would like to think that digital media (eg blogs) will keep people more informed about breaking news, such as where the next big party is happening.
Anyway, please keep reading the series, and again thanks for the post.
