Where on Earth: Week 26 - Gozo, Malta

Gozo is the smaller island that makes up the tiny Mediterranean nation of Malta. This is a stunning natural arch called the "Azure Window" on Gozo's northern coast. The main island of Malta is fascinating but can feel crowded due to its concentrated population. Across on Gozo, it's a totally different story, especially if you're staying in one of the restored farmhouses.
Gozo deserves to be the new Tuscany. You heard it here first.

Hi Brett,
Having been to Gozo, I can agree with you that it's a pretty cool place. But saying it deserves to be the new Tuscany? Now I think you're smoking crack ;-)

Agree with Rob.
I was a tour guide in Malta in the 90s and went back for a visit again recently. Malta has a great concentration of attractions but the unrelenting hotel development has made it one large resort. Also, the cultural charm has been replaced by a chase for the ultimate tourist dollar, ooops I mean euro.
