They might perform there as well, but I saw them at Venice Beach. I can't remember which spot exactly. Probably not where this photo was taken. I took photos too, but they aren't developed. It's was after the Fig Tree restaurant if you are heading away from Santa Monica. The friend I was visiting lives just a few blocks away from the Santa Monica Pier on Pico. I walked from there down to Venice Beach. Another performer I talked with at Venice Beach talked about how much money it costs to perform at the Santa Monica Pier. He goes there as well.
It's interesting to think about how these performers move locations. I guess that gives them a wider audience.
