By the way the English and/or Dutch were the first to make Apple Pies (as far as we know)...the English ones are sweeter by the way and the type commonly found in the US).
And yes most USians are not portrayed as "overly macho gun fanatics", they seem mostly to be portrayed as tourists in most countries I know of...at least in Europe...the Islamic world probably has a different view of Uncle Sam.
