I ate friend grasshoppers in Oaxaca, Mexico. They are very popular in that part of Mexico. In MExico City or other areas, you don't find them.. They were interesting - crunchy and coated with chili powder. Not being the biggest fan of chili powder, its not something I would go out of the way to eat. They are sold in baskets in the Oaxaca markets by the native people. I got them in the Zocolo, however in Oaxaca City from a restaurant.
