So it appears you were actually writing on those days the rest of us were traipsing about the countryside on foot, convulsing the local populace with our comical attempts at spoken Romanian, returning late to the hostel laden with gifts of honey from friendly locals, or, on other days... blisters. I had my suspicions that your pulling the writing card was a cover for slothful, possibly gluttonous slackerness, so apparently a apology is in order(though not forthcoming).I will add to your blog that the magical liquid fuels for the 20km trip were multiple bottles of Moldavia's finest wines the night prior, and 1 lei cups of coffee chugged in a tiny shop in Putna the following am. Am I remembering correctly that at one point the listless excuse for transport we were calling a train was passed by a tractor pulling a load of potatoes? Ok, so it MAY be true that the tractor was actually stopped waiting for the train to pass, but I bet it COULD have passed us if it had been given a fighting chance. Hope you are now in fact indulging in the aforementioned sloth, gluttony etc etc Nora
