Tim,
Great list. You missed my essential piece of travel equipment.
I call it my "Whoobie." Its an Army poncho liner with thinsulate. I have used it on the coldest nights in Bavarian woods, climbing on Mt. Rainier, and despite my wife's complaints as my blanket every night.
When I become Deputy Dog of the world I am going to make sure everyone in the world has one.
