Oh, god. Apparently I've been in Japan too long, without ever actually having set foot in the country. *shame*
(See, it begins innocently enough: you realize that you're really, really ignorant about Japan, and mildly interested, so you learn more so that you can have conversations without people making fun of you. Pretty soon you know what the difference is between moe and kawaii and you have rice preferences and are collecting gashopon toys and it's all downhill from there.)
