Southwest Airlines Offers "Skimpy" Airfare in Nod to Miniskirt Publicity
First, a Southwest employee insults Kyla Ebbert by asking her to change her revealing outfit or disembark the plane. Now, Southwest has turned the critical media coverage of this impromptu dress code violation into a marketing campaign for its flights.
Chief Executive Gary Kelly claims that they're "trying to be lighthearted about all this." Southwest has already apologized to Ebbert, but after another woman spoke out about similar treatment and Ebbert went on 'The Today Show' and 'The Dr. Phil Show' to tell her story, Southwest not only issued another apology (and two free round-trip tickets) to Ebbert, but also announced a 10-day fare sale in honor of miniskirts.
Does this mean that buttock-baring minis will be okay on future Southwest flights? Kelly doesn't elaborate on a Southwest dress code, but does acknowledge Southwest's less-conservative past as a company that touted itself as "the love airline" and dressed its stewardesses in hot pants.

I have been on almost every major airline in the world and I am a passenger on airplanes about 45-55 times a year. Generally speaking, Southwest flight attendants are the friendliest, most accomodating flight attendants ever. Very few exceptions.
As far as suing for being asked to cover up, who do the idiots that advocate suing, think will pay for this? The airlines are a business and they have to pass this along to the customers in higher fares. Please get a dose of common sense, people!

Harry is EXACTLY right. I'm all for dressing cute and sexy, but come on ho's at least cover up your naughty bits! Contrary to what you believe, the whole world really doesn’t want to see you dirty snatch! I'd be willing to bet money little Miss Thing wasn't wearing anything under that little skirt of hers...dress like a ho, get treated poorly!

I think as long as she had panties on under dress everyone should have left Kyla alone.

Sexism at its' finest. If restaurants can have shirt and tie policies, and many nightclubs have dresscodes, why is there a problem with airlines having a decency dresscode, especially since children are on flights and are already being too exposed to the sexist, objectification of women enough from tv?

Southwest has chosen a wrong method re: boarding. People with small children should be able to board first. Quite frankly, I do not want to stand in line with screaming kids, and neither do their parents. Let them get on first, get their kids settled before the remainig passengers board.
