I can't believe how dumb some of the comments are, even from the gay guys : this is a SPECIAL flight to MARDI GRAS and ANYONE can buy a seat on it (if they want).

MARDI GRAS is a FLAMING DRUG-ADDLED EVENT and features DRAG QUEENS and this is why Air New Zealand marketed it this way. If they were flying from Auckland to Montréals Black and Blue festival, I'm sure they would leather-it-up etc...

... anyway, it's all about a (state-owned) enterprises right to make money... and if there's a market, give the people what they want.
