Air New Zealand to Offer Gay-Themed Flight
Bring on the feather boas, shimmery eye makeup, and stiletto heels. And if you want to sleep, maybe some sleeping pills, because Air New Zealand's gay-themed flight from San Francisco to Sydney promises to be 14 hours of nonstop fun.
The flight is scheduled to depart February 25 for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney, Australia, which is one of the world's most well-attended gay events. Passengers can expect drag queens, pink cocktails, and a cabaret, as well as gay-friendly movies and a "Get-Onboard Girlfriend" going away party.
Air New Zealand flight-tested a similar theme for Sydney's Mardi Gras in 2007, when flight attendants wore pink feather boas and the pilot donned fairy wings. American Airlines, Air Canada, and other airline companies have become visible sponsors of gay pride events, but none so far have used "campy" programming to appeal to gay and lesbian travelers.
I'm a married, heterosexual woman, but this is one 14-hour flight I just might actually enjoy.

Oh my God! You "separate and non-equal" Christian types have mega churches complete with bowling alleys, bad broadcasting, rock and roll JEEZUS, and every other decadent slam against on the simplicity of religion. Get off your high horses and tend to your own quite obvious failings. You can't make the whole world into Branson, Missouri under the guise of saving sinners. Especially when that "saving" involves demonizing everyone else's life so you'll feel better about how pitiful your own is.

so its ok to have all black colleges but if you have all white colleges your a racist, you can have all gay cruises and flights but if they were for hetrosexuals only you'd be a sexist. if you had white pride month you'd be called a skin head, kkk member.... the hyprocracy of these groups is amazing. the left continues to put us all in little boxes and if you dont stay there they will find a name to call you. i consider myself a free thinker and i know a double standard when i see one.

It's a charter themed flight to a gay celebration! Which means you'd really have to go out of your way to be on this flight (which, I'm assuming you don't leave the country that much anyway -- but that's for another thread!)
Lighten up cupcake, frowning makes those crows-feet show up more.

Geez, Air New Zealand announces a flight to a gay event for gay people and out of the woodwork come the bigots with thier general hate and judgemental crap! I agree with doc4nuts above, the world is thankfully moving on and there becomes less space and tolerance for bigots. Yes, you bigots are painting yourselves into an ever tighter corner - indeed! Grow, change and develop your minds! Else, stay at home and be quiet - the world has left you behind!
