I must confess it has taken me up to the age of 57 years young to realize there is nothing for which I need to 'save' vacation days! I 'earn' 2 days a month of paid vaction, & it adds up pretty quickly... & now I take random time off just because... The 'keeping-up' syndrome has died a natural death in my world. I have come to accept I can't take it with me so I'd better enjoy it now! I do wish more people would realize tomorrow is an illusion, & the time to enjoy is today. Granted, I do accrue a significant number of paid days off, but I also have adjusted my attitude to value living more than making a living.
