I am an American currently interviewing. It is customary to get 2 weeks vacation and sometimes 3 weeks after perhaps 10 years. I recently interviewed with a well known company in the South-East US and they only give you 1 weeks vacation per year for the first 3 years! That and also the low pay. Unbelievable for a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
