Shortly after 9/11 I made it through security with a fairly large knife (unintentionally). It was when they were still doing secondary searches before boarding. I figured if I mentioned this to someone LAX would be shut down... so I went to the bathroom, wrapped it in paper towels so no-one would notice it and threw it away. I was still paranoid someone would find it in the trash and they'd shut down the airport. Man is airport security pointless.
What's amusing is the fact that you could really fuck someone up wit a cork screw - but those knives on corkscrews are so dull you couldn't even open an envelope with on.
