Police Cars from Around the World

There's something weird about police cars. No matter where you go, they all look somewhat the same, yet still completely different. It's one of those strange travel gems -- like grocery stores and candy bars -- that seem so familiar yet remain absolutely different and strangely interesting. Here's a whole boat-load of police cars in different shapes, sizes, colors, and flavors from different corners of the globe. Enjoy!

The police cars I like best are the ones that are parked and empty -- not following me.

I think that cruiser from Agra is pretty stylish, though I could probably outrun it.

Its well know that in NYC there are undercover police driving certain Taxi cabs. Supposedly the first numbers on the license plate are a giveaway.

As far as i know in NYC the undercover cops dont drive taxis but they routinely rent taxis for additional tasks. Not for undercover activities

The car from Agra India is not a police car. Its used to transport government officials. Bit slow but tough.

Pracically all the police cars shown here are cool and stylish, but the first Aussie paddywagon and the first German Polizei cruiser are so rock'n'roll. They are awesome.
